Disposal / Data Destruction

Sarnel Services offer a bespoke customer service. This allows us to provide a service designed to meet our customers' legal Duty of Care under both the Environment Protection Act and the Data Protection Act and offers a complete auditable service to allow for asset registry management. We are fully compliant with the WEEE Directive and the ISO 9001 & 14001 standards.

All data is destroyed to the standards set by the Security Equipment Assessment Panel (SEAP) and if the equipment cannot be resold or reused it is recycled to the standards set by the WEEE directive.
Disposal Certificates are issued to cover Customers Liability for Data Protection

Our service provides a fully audited service with every item recorded by serial number and make. All re-useable equipment is PAT tested.

All data is destroyed to the standards used by the UK Government and MoD as defined by The Security Equipment Assessment Panel (SEAP) and CESG. This includes using approved software tools, a SEAP/NATO approved degausser and / or physical shredding

Other Disposal Services

Electrical by- product waste in particular, has become a key issue for businesses. Dumping into a landfill will no longer be an option under the 'Special Waste Regulations' and the WEEE Directive. Both come into force next year.

Hard Drive Wipe Options

Hard drives wiped using 3-pass wipe system, destroying all data from the unit.
This process conforms to the US Dept of Defence, Standard no. 5220.22-M. This method is ideal for data destruction where there is potential re-sale value in the unit.
